The first action in benzodiazepine withdrawal management will be to stabilise the individual on an appropriate dose of diazepam. Estimate how much diazepam is equivalent for the dose of benzodiazepine that the affected individual at present uses, into a maximum of 40mg of diazepam (Table eight).
